SkinPen Precision gives your skin the reset that it needs. Not only is SkinPen the first FDA-cleared microneedling device, it’s also made in the USA – which means it’s rigorously tested for safety.

What is Microneedling?

SkinPen by Crown Aesthetics is the first FDA – cleared microneedling device on the market and is clinically proven to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, texture and acne scars. This device can be use on area of the body, in which, we typically recommend starting with a series of 3-6 sessions, spaced approximately 4 week apart.

How does Microneedling work?

Microneedling works by creating thousands of micro channels in the skin tissue that stimulate your body’s natural wound healing process, while minimizing cellular damage. The micro-injuries (micro channels) trigger the release of cytokines and growth factors that lead to remodeling of collagen and elastin.This rejuvenates your skin from the inside out. The result is effective remodeling of scar tissue, while keeping the overall structure of the skin intact.

There are three phases to the wound-repair process:

  • Phase I: Inflammation. Piercing the skin triggers your immune system to cleanse the wound, remove debris, increase blood flow and begin to create new tissue.
  • Phase II: Proliferation. The wound is rebuilt with new granulation cells, which are part of the extracellular matrix. Additionally, a new network of blood vessels develops.
  • Phase III: Remodeling. The wound is replaced with new dermal tissues and blood vessels.

Best of all, SkinPen works and creates long lasting results. Ninety percent of subjects in the clinical trial would recommend the procedure to family and friends.

Who would benefit from Microneedling?

The SkinPen is safe for all skin types: clinically proven effective on all skin types, Fitzpatrick 1 -6.

Unlike most alternatives, SkinPen has been clinically shown to be effective for women and men with skin ranging from skin-types light to very dark . When you properly space treatments apart, the procedures can be administered at any time of the year.

What can I expect after my treatment?

Microneedling involves minimal downtime, making it a great treatment with busy schedules. We consider the first 24-48 hours to be more of a “social downtime” with the potential to have moderate redness and slight edema in the skin tissue. We recommend to allow the skin to heal for the first 24 hours prior to putting on any makeup or harsh products, as the micro- channels remain “open” for approximately 24 hours following your micro- needling procedure. This is not something visible to the eye, however we do not want to hinder the remodeling of your skin.
