What is Photofractional?

Photofractional is a combined laser and light based treatment that rejuvenates the skin, providing rapid results for common skin aging concerns. It stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin fibers over a series of treatments, leading to improved skin tone and pigmentation. After just one session, patients may begin to notice improvements in overall skin appearance.

For patients with busy and active lifestyles, Photofractional typically offers minimal downtime.

How Does Photofractional Work?

Photofractional rejuvenation treatment consists of combining our IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and ResurFX non-ablative skin resurfacing treatments, to improve both skin tone and texture. These combined technologies allow for the removal of unwanted pigmentation and blood vessels, while also generating new collagen and elastin fibers to tighten pores, firm fine lines and wrinkles and smooth scarring or texture. This treatment is highly customizable and can be adjusted to fit the needs of each patient.

What Can Be Expected After a Treatment?

Following the Photofractional procedure, patients can expect to experience some redness and swelling. This will subside within a few days. Most patients return to their normal daily activities within 48 hours following their treatment. It is important to avoid direct and excessive sun exposure after your treatment. It’s recommended to apply a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher following your treatment at Skinfinity.
