PRP Hair Restoration treatments can help to naturally regrow your hair with little to no downtime. PRP therapy uses your own plasma/protein growth factors to strengthen your hair follicles.
What is PRP Hair Restoration?
As part of the body’s healing ability, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is well known to release numerous growth factors that respond to tissue injury and initiate conditions for healing.
Who Can Benefit From PRP Hair Restoration?
Hair thinning or loss is a very common condition that effects many men and women, causing self-esteem and confidence concerns. At Skinfinity it is always our motive to help anyone gain the confidence we all deserve. Men tend to be affected more than women, but anyone can be impacted by hair loss, balding, and thinning. If you are experiencing hair loss, PRP therapy may be a beneficial treatment for you. After a complimentary consultation with our expert providers at Skinfinity Medspa, we can help to determine if this treatment is right for you.
How Does PRP Work?
PRP contains special cells called Platelets and growth factor proteins, that can theoretically cause the growth of your hair follicles by stimulating cells in the microenvironment of your follicles. These special platelet cells promote healing, accelerate tissue regeneration, and help form new cellular growth. The primary purpose of using PRP in hair restoration is to stimulate inactive or newly implanted hair follicles into an active growth phase. To begin your treatment, a small blood sample is taken in the same way routine blood draw is drawn. This is a comfortable and easy process. Your blood is then spun in a centrifuge and your PRP is separated and removed. This highly concentrated platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is then injected into your scalp in small injections.
